Winter Greens with Garlic and Sesame Cream

  • Winter Chicories, 4 small heads, cleaned and torn by hand into bite sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons Violife Just Like Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 tablesoons of Tahini
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
For the Dressing:
  1. In a medium sized bowl, marinate garlic in lemon juice and zest along with a pinch of salt. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Whisk Tahini with lemon juice to loosen, then slowly drizzle cream in while whisking to incorporate. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
For the Salad:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently toss the winter greens with the dressing.
Optional:
  1. Plate and finish by garnishing with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, a sprinkling of roasted Korean seaweed, and crushed Calabrian Chili Pepper.
